Opici Family Distributing, a family owned wine and spirits distributor for over 100 years, is looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join their high performing team at their Glen Rock Facility.

The Inventory Control Coordinator will maintain the organizations inventory, utilizing technology and company owned software to accurately record real time inventory transactions, receipts and issues. The scope of work includes daily cycle counting and stock checks, vintage management, reconciliation of returns, damages and unsalable, and providing report outs of all such activities. The individual will also ensure integrity of high value product, implement and support measures to eliminate shrinkage and support management in driving change and introducing process improvement.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Maintain inventory accuracy, utilizing cycle counts and exception reports to adjust errors and resolve customer and supplier inventory disputes. Account for variance, breakage and delivery discrepancies through a daily reconciliation process.

-Review and access to standardize procedures, conduct root cause analysis, introduce process improvements, ensure process compliance, and lead workforce to improve efficiencies and reduce operational costs.

-Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures, analyzing stocking and seasonality levels to identify and maximize warehousing and storage. Includes lay out of bulk locations, picking locations, caged areas and bottle room.

– Lead and conduct physical inventory during dedicated shut down weeks.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

– Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in inventory control, preferable working in wine and spirits, food or medical industries.

-Familiarity and experience with a WMS inventory management system.

-Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing arena while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized team environment.

-Excellent communication skills and proficiency with window applications, including Microsoft Office & Teams.

-Minimum four-year degree in logistics, supply chain, project or resource management preferred.
