POSITION SUMMARY: The Opici Group is looking for a dynamic outgoing Accounts Payable Analyst to work with a family-owned company and represent fine wines and spirits from all over the world.
OPEN POSITIONS: Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and reconciling accounts payable transactions. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Conduct research and analysis to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies, involving collaboration with internal departments and external vendors.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate effectively to resolve payment-related issues.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accounts payable controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Provide support during financial audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems (SAGE100 & D365).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of advanced formulas and functions.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
