POSITION SUMMARY: The Opici Group is looking for a dynamic outgoing Procurement Specialist to work with a family-owned company and represent fine wines and spirits from all over the world.

OPEN POSITIONS:  The Opici Group is seeking an experienced and versatile with a strong background in purchasing, procurement, fleet management, inventory control, and facility support. This critical role will oversee procurement processes, fleet operations, inventory management, and facility initiatives across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to driving operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Manage purchase orders and procurement workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Track, analyze, and report on procurement KPIs, ensuring  alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs, repairs, and asset management for all fleet vehicles (leased, owned, and rental) across all locations.
  • Ensure fleet operations align with company policies and budget parameters
  • Administer outside repair vendor relationships, pricing structures, warranty tracking, and cost recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, federal, and state regulations for all fleet assets.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of fleet assets, including acquisition, leasing, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Support fleet safety programs, participate in accident/incident reviews, and support insurance processes.
  • Preparation of Capital Expenditure Requests in support of Projects, also providing supporting competitive quotations
  • Facilitate Market Studies and RFP’s for high velocity Operational items to improve cost and supplier relationships.
  • Provide after-hours support for urgent fleet issues and breakdowns
  • Manage EZ Pass accounts, fuel card programs, permits, and licensing.
  • Support installation of Samsara in-cab telematics system across all markets
  • Oversee inventory control processes to ensure stock accuracy for Fleet and Building maintenance materials.
  • Responsible for all Fuel Tax Reporting.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, repairs, and new construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and security protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and/or related business field or experience
  • Fleet management experience, preferably with commercial vehicles.
  • Experience in facility management and building maintenance is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and acute attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of DOT, federal, and state compliance regulations.
  • Proven experience in budget management and vendor/contract negotiation
  • Process improvement mindset and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
