Opici Family Distributing of New York/RNDC New York is seeking a Class A Driver to join our Upstate NY Operations Team. Position Summary: The Driver (Class A) will be responsible for local vendor pickups and safely transporting goods back to Opici warehouses. They will also be responsible for assisting in warehouse maintenance, order picking, and loading of delivery vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and securing goods for safe transportation to either local warehouse or local vendor pickups
- Unloading goods from trailer and assist in receiving goods into warehouse. Parking and securing tractor in parking lot.
- Order picking as need to assist warehouse with customer orders.
- Daily vehicle inspections and fluid checks
- Cleaning and maintaining warehouse, including trash and cardboard disposal, and sweeping floors.
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Forklift Operator Certification required
- Experience needed for Smartphone applications, GPA and hand truck use
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with given instructions.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Experience with safety protocols followed for CDL Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Experience loading and unloading of goods with warehouse experience.
