POSITION SUMMARY: Opici Wine and Spirits is looking for dynamic outgoing Director of Sales – National Accounts to work with a family-owned company and represent fine wines and spirits from all over the world.

OPEN POSITIONS: The historic and 100% Family-owned Wine & Spirits Importer, Opici Wines, is looking for a top-notch, experienced performer to successfully manage On & Off Premise National Accounts across the United States


  • Accountable for Achieving National Accounts Targets
  • Responsible for Communicating All National Account Programs to Opici Sales Team and Distributor SAEs
  • Responsible for Program Compliance and Tracking
  • Responsible for Participation in all RFPs within account base
  • Retains Key National Account Relationships and SAE NASA Team Members
  • Strict Adherence to Company Provided Budgets
  • Manage the execution of the Business Plan & Corporate Strategy
  • Travel extensively while staying within T&E budget.
  • Develop and implement National Account pricing, programming, and incentives.
  • Develop relationships with distributor chain managers within Opici Network
  • Communicate with Operations and SVP of Sales to monitor inventory levels.
  • Develop relationships with Assigned National Accounts and Buyers
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to identify control/private label opportunities.
  • Assist Regional Team with Regional Chain Account Presentations
  • Develop and Present quarterly business reviews to Senior Management


  • Resides in a major metropolitan area with proximity to a major airport.
  • 10+ Years’ Experience as a Supplier or Distributor with ever increasing roles & responsibilities.
  • 5+ Years’ Experience working with On and Off Premise chain buyers; established relationships a must.
  • Strategic thinker that can identify trends and utilize to sell to National Accounts
  • Experience submitting RFPs to various National/Chain Accounts
  • Strong knowledge and passion for wine & spirits from around the world
  • Strong relationships with distributor chain teams within Opici Network a plus
  • Proven sales record throughout career and ability to lead and influence the marketplace.
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of business software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Diver, etc.
  • Experience with Nielsen, IRI, and other industry data sources.
  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  Expense allowances, Eligible for Health and Welfare Package and 401k (with Company Match). Holidays and Paid Time Off. Salary range – $100K – $120K annually.
