OPICI Family Distributing, a family-owned business in wine and spirits for over 100 years, is currently seeking a Graphic Designer. POSITION SUMMARY: The Opici Group is looking for a dynamic outgoing Graphic Designer to work with a family-owned company and represent fine wines and spirits from all over the world.
OPEN POSITION: The Graphic Designer will apply knowledge of graphic design concepts and graphic design software CreativeCloud to design/layout/update restaurant items such as but not limited to; wine and cocktail lists, store signs, ads, price book covers, specialty catalogs, table tents, sell sheets, shelf talkers and tasting materials. The graphic designer designs on behalf of our sales teams for retail stores, restaurants and sales reps. The designer also supports design of POS for corporate initiatives and trade marketing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, layout and update job requests, including submitting the files to outsource printers, proof approval in accordance with department guidelines.
- Work with the production Assistant to print all jobs utilizing in-house equipment.
- Ship the jobs including bring the jobs to warehouse.
- Quote job cost that prices are provided by manager and record or report if any inventory is taken out of department inventory.
- Submit finished jobs for billbacks. Organize job folders.
- Work as a team to reach deadlines.
- Perform duties with accuracy, be detail oriented and possess strong prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills, and a self-starter are critical skills along with the ability to develop strong peer and vendor relationships and work in a productive cross-functional team environment.
- Proofing skills and time management are critical.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to design and print sales support materials including but not limited to wine list, drink menus, store signs, sell sheets and promotional catalogs.
- Must have knowledge of: Adobe Creative Cloud and Software, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After effects and Microsoft Office.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary position determined by experience, Eligible for Health and Welfare Package and 401k (with Company Match). Holidays and Paid Time Off.
