POSITION SUMMARY:  The Sales Analyst will play a crucial role in driving sales strategies and optimizing performance within our organization. This position involves analyzing sales data, developing actionable insights, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance our market position and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sales analytics, a strong background in the wine industry, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain detailed sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor and provide insights on sales performance, market trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement data-driven sales strategies and initiatives.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and identify growth opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns, promotions, and other initiatives.
    • Provide recommendations for adjustments and improvements based on performance analysis and market feedback.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy of sales data.
    • Work with the marketing team to analyze the impact of marketing campaigns on sales performance and provide insights to optimize future campaigns.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or related advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales analysis, preferably within the wine & spirits, beverage, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, VIP, Nielsen (NIQ), Diver, and BI tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
